The mausoleum is located in Thuy Ba village, Xuan Thuy ward, Hue city, on the romantic Canh Vong hill. Therefore, this place attracts a lot of tourists to visit and experience.

Tu Duc Tomb (also known as Khiem Lang) is a historical relic in the complex of Hue monuments recognized by Unesco as world cultural heritage.

This is the burial place of King Tu Duc of the Nguyen Dynasty. He is the Nguyen Dynasty’s longest reigning king, reigning for 36 years (from 1847 to 1883), and is known for his high level of Indochinese education, particularly Confucianism.

Tu Duc Tomb was started in 1864 with the participation of more than 6000 soldiers and workers to dig trenches, build ramparts, build citadels, and build tombs. The mausoleum was originally named Van Nien Co by King Tu Duc, but after the Chay Voi uprising, he changed its name to Khiem Cung. After the king died, people called Khiem Lang.
